3RD DCA RULES AGAINST FERNANDEZ

In a two to one decision, the 3rd District Court of Appeals upheld a Circuit Court decision that former Miami City Attorney Jorge Fernandez was not entitled to $274,721 in severance, vacation and sick leave after he plead nolo contendere to criminal charges for making false claims for reimbursement from the city for family and personal expense.

The decision was handed down in June and I am remiss for not getting to it sooner, but I’ve been kinda busy dealing with the antics of the current City Attorney and other stories.

Below is the decision from the 3rd DCA.
