4 HOURS AFTER I POSTED MY STORY ABOUT
THE LAWSUITS, I GOT AN AMAZING EMAIL
FROM THE CITY ATTORNEY
RESPONSE OF A STUPID LAWYER

August 22nd isn’t Valentine’s Day but it didn’t stop Miami City Attorney Victoria Mendez from sending me a Valentine in the middle of the night after she read my story about my suing the City of Miami and the DDA over their refusal to provide me with the native electronic format version of the addresses books that they use to send newsletters and other mass mailings to folks in the DDA District and constituents in the City.

Here is the email that Victoria sent me:

Now, how special is that?  After Alyce Robertson trying to rope-a-dope me with the claim that there were no such documents at the DDA’s office, and Mendez lying to me, Assistant City Attorney George Wysong trying to blow smoke up my ass, and then the weeks, and the stories that I wrote about all the bullshit reasons why these people refused to comply with my request, only to finally give me a version of the email addresses that were not in a “native electronic format,” it only took the City Attorney 4 hours after I posted my story, to discover that she did in fact have a copy of the non-existent native electronic formatted emails after all.

Alas, by morning, Mendez’s Deputy Barnaby Min, realizing what the implication of that email meant to the DDA’s case, tried to walk back her email by sending me an email of his own.

Well, actually there is no confusion at all.  I asked for a copy of the “native electronic format” of the DDA and the Mayor’s and Communication’s Department email address book because I know without any doubt that they exist.

All of these people know that they exist too, and that there is a simple, straightforward process required to provide me, or anyone else who would ask for these email address books.

That they chose not to do so resulted in my attorney filing 2 lawsuits earlier this week.

Now, to compound their actions leading up to the lawsuits Victoria Mendez and Barnaby Min have compounded that bad behavior with a new, and equally troubling act of trying to bypass my attorney in an effort to respond to my original request.

That’s a no-no!
