ANOTHER BAD DEAL FOR MIAMI
GRACE SOLARES FILES A NEW LAWSUIT AGAINST THE SKYRISE MIAMI TOWER
PART XVII

Community activist Grace Solares this afternoon filed a new lawsuit against the Skyrise Miami tower.

The tower which is currently the subject of a lawsuit filed by Coconut Grove architect Charles Corda, and which is now before the 3rd District Court of Appeal after the District Court denied Corda’s request for an injunction, is beginning to generate attention and concern as people within the community are waking up to it’s size and impact on the surrounding area, not to mention that many people think it’s just plain ugly.

But aesthetics aside the financial problems detailed in several of my stories, and the way in which this project was maneuvered into place by the ever pliant City Commission, is another in a long line of dubious deals that could come back to bite the City in the ass,

As Mayor Tomas Regalado so famously said, “In Miami, every deal is a bad deal,” and Grace Solares’ complaint spells out why that applies to this deal.
