BARRED FROM NUMEROUS GOVERNMENTAL COMPUTER NETWORKS FOR TELLING THE TRUTH
OMNI CRA TO SELL PARKING LOT ATTACHED TO HISTORIC
FIREHOUSE NO. 2
THE BIG-TIME DEVELOPER WITH TIES TO MARC AND TERESA SARNOFF WHO OWNED ALL OF THE PROPERTY AROUND THE FIREHOUSE HAS NOW DISAPPEARED FROM THE PROPERTY RECORDS
PART III

Last December I broke the story that the OMNI CRA was plotting to sell Historic Firehouse #2, which they had spent $3.3 million to renovate less than 2 years after the renovation had been completed to one of Commissioner Sarnoff’s developer pals Nir Shohani, who I revealed at the time had been one of the donors to Teresa Sarnoff’s End Homelessness Now Foundation.  All of the information about Shohani and Sarnoff can be found by clicking HERE and HERE.

When I first wrote about this deal, I included the below map that revealed all of the properties that Shohani owned through his company NR Investments.

The Firehouse is bordered in YELLOW, and all of the NR Investment property is bordered in RED.

At tomorrow’s City Commission meeting, the OMNI CRA is seeking permission to sell the parking lot that is bordered in BLUE.

What’s interesting is that the Property Appraiser no longer lists NR Investments as the owner of all of the surrounding property, but now it is “owned” by 14th Street Development LLC, that is managed by a guy named Terry Wellons.

What’s really interesting is that no where in any of the documents posted on the City’s Legistar page is there a dollar amount for how much the OMNI CRA is selling this valuable piece of property, even though this was originally City property and the OMNI CRA needs permission from the Commission to sell the property.

What do you think the odds are that the OMNI CRA is “selling” this piece to this LLC at a very attractive price, and that behind all the legal paper shuffling at the Property Appraiser’s Office, we’ll find out sometime after the sale that Commissioner Sarnoff’s pal, Nir Shohani and his partners are still the real owners of all of the surrounding property?

Can we expect to see a nice contribution to the Sarnoff campaign, or better yet another secret contribution to one of the Sarnoff Foundations?

When Sarnoff and Bockweg aren’t making sure that the dogs of folks living in high-rise condos on the Bay can shit on Astro Turf, it looks like they’re making sure that somebody is getting a deal on a very valuable piece of property whose “air rights” are worth millions, and I say that because if this wasn’t an underhanded deal intended to keep the public in the dark then the price would be included somewhere in the documentation going before the City Commission so that everyone would know what the sale price is.

It’s Miami, Bitches!

NO SURPRISE: OMNI CRA DECIDES TO SELL THIS PARKING LOT FOR $1.5 MILLION TO COMPANY OWNED BY NIR SHOHANI, SARNOFF DEVELOPER PAL AND SUPPORTER, AND BEST OF ALL, THE SALE WAS MADE NOT ON THE BASIS THAT THE CRA ADVERTISED THE PROPERTY, BUT THAT THE DEAL WAS MADE ON AN UNSOLICITED OFFER.
