IN THE LAST 30 DAYS, THE SARNOFF POLITICAL EOC COLLECTED $50,000 IN CONTRIBUTIONS
PART III
THE CANDIDACY OF TERESA “THE BEARD” SARNOFF

It looks like the Sarnoffs are getting serious about “The Beard”(*) running for hubby’s Commission seat.

In the last 30 days, the Sarnoff Electioneering Organizing Committee (EOC), collected $50,000 in contributions from some interesting folks.

First up was $10,000 from Solowsky & Allen where the Commissioner ‘s best pal Jay Solowsky - the same Jay Solowsky who the Commissioner just appointed to the Miami Charter Review Committee, and who he had previously appointed to the Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority, and who is also the Outside Counsel for the Downtown Development Authority where the Commissioner is the Chairman, and who is a partner with the Lovely Teresa in her End Homelessness Now Foundation, and who is also a director of the Sarnoff Foundation, and the 1814 Brickell Park Improvement, Inc. non-profit, and who was Teresa Sarnoff’s attorney in the stalking  case against Reid "I inhale propane gas to get high, but I am not the least bit nutty," Welch, while Sarnoff was one of Solowsky’s attorneys in that sexual harassment case filed by one of his clients - Welch went to prison and Solowsky beat the case - who was kind enough to let Sarnoff move into his firm’s offices after he was forced to shut down the illegal law firm he operated for almost 10 years in a house across the street from Blanche Park.

Then there’s Steven Perricone/La Cucina Management - LA Cucina is the corporate name for Perricone’s restaurant in Many Brickell Village, the same one that I wrote about back in 2012 for illegally using the Allen Morris Pocket Park as part of his restaurant - who has been a business partner with Jay Solowsky on several real estate deals, and been a Sarnoff fund raiser also donated $10,000.

Matching Perricone’s 10 grand, was the law firm of Lydecker, Lee, Berga & De Zaya, but who operates under the fictitious name of Lydecker/Diaz, as in Manny Diaz, former Mayor of Miami. Rumor has it that Sarnoff and Manny Diaz are rekindling their not-so-secret bromance from Manny’s time as Mayor, and evidence of that seems to be Richard Lydecker’s appointment to the Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors. Even in Miami a political bromance between a Democrat and a pretend Democrat like Sarnoff that keeps showing up at Republican events as the host can only go so far publicly, so the check came from the real law firm, and not the fictitious one. Maybe it was Manny Diaz that didn’t want to be tainted by having his name show up on this list.

And lastly, but certainly not least is the $20,000 contributed by 29 NE 11th Street, LLC, which is the address for the nightclub E11even, better known as a very high-end strip club that supposedly cost $40 million to build.

Miami New Times identified the owner as a guy named Dennis DeGori, whose been called “one of Las Vegas’ more controversial players in the Gentlemen’s Club business,” but 29 NE 11th Street LLC is an LLC “managed” by Marc Roberts.

Roberts used to be partners with Art Falcone back when they were putting together the properties that have now become known as the Miami WorldCenter, and was the front man for the project before he went bankrupt in a nasty deal that opened the door for Nitin Motwani become the Managing Partner.

Roberts has now come back from bankruptcy, not only with E11even Miami, but supposedly he’s teamed up with Michael Simkin, whose been buying up as much property on the Westside of N. Miami Avenue around the 11th street strip club as he can.

Simkin was one of the guys that Sarnoff thanked for donating to Teresa’s End Homelessness Now Foundation last July, and no doubt will show up sooner or later show up at Miami City Hall looking for a favor or two once it’s revealed what he plans to do with all this property.

So that’s whose given $50,000 to the Sarnoff EOC in the last 30 days.  I know that like me, you can’t wait to find out who gives to this EOC in the next 30 days, right?

It’s Miami, Bitches!
